چکیده

Objective To explore the effect of high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on depression, cognitive function and activities daily living in patients with depression after cerebral infarction. Methods A total 50 infarction from departments neurology rehabilitation Second Affiliated Hospital Chongqing Medical University July 2018 to February 2020, which were randomly divided into control group observation group, 25 cases each group. All received conventional drug therapy, training, paroxetine antidepressant treatment. On this basis, was given sham stimulation, coil placed at 90 degrees perpendicular scalp, frequency 10.0 Hz, intensity 80%-90% resting motor threshold (RMT), adjusted low high according tolerance, two seconds per stimulus, 20 interval, pulses 1 200, once a day, five days week, continous treatment for six weeks. The rTMS treatment, site left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), center point tangent scalp surface, parameters time same as those Before weeks, Montreal assessment scale (MoCA) used evaluate overall patients; Hamilton (HAMD) modified Barthel index (MBI) auditory event-related potential P300 adverse reactions groups compared. Results There no significant differences MoCA, HAMD, MBI scores between before (P>0.05). Compared MoCA scores, subitem (such visuospatial/executive function, attention/calculation) score both weeks significantly higher (P<0.05), HAMD latency lower, difference statistically (P<0.05). attention/calculation delayed memory) occurrence events Conclusion High can effectively improve depressive state post-stroke is worthy clinical application.

Effects of High-Frequency Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on Motor Functions in Patients with Subcortical Stroke

Background: Motor function impairment occurs in approximately two-thirds of patients with subcortical stroke. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a noninvasive technique for modulating cortical excitability. Objectives: The present study was designed for assessing the efficacy of high-frequency rTMS (5 Hz) on ipsilesional primary motor cortex in patients with subcortical stro...

Low frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation improves motor dysfunction after cerebral infarction

Low frequency (≤ 1 Hz) repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) can affect the excitability of the cerebral cortex and synaptic plasticity. Although this is a common method for clinical treatment of cerebral infarction, whether it promotes the recovery of motor function remains controversial. Twenty patients with cerebral infarction combined with hemiparalysis were equally and random...

The Effect of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on Postural Stability After Acute Stroke: A Clinical Trial

Introduction: Balance impairment is a common problem and a major cause of motor disability after stroke. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate whether low-frequency repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) improves the postural balance problems in stroke patients. Methods: This randomized double blind clinical trial with 12 weeks follow-up was conducted on stroke patients. Trea...

Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation treats postpartum depression.

BACKGROUND Postpartum depression (PPD) is a prevalent illness, affecting 10-15% of new mothers. PPD is the most common complication of childbirth and is a significant public health concern. It is known to adversely impact maternal-infant bonding, childrearing practices, and can lead to suicide and infanticide. The current treatment approaches to PPD are suboptimal. Many mothers are reluctant to...
